Cheddar Snacks

Ingredients

½ cup All Purpose Flour
½ cup Whey Crisps, natural
½ cup Butter
2 tsp Water
1½ cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 cup Crispy Rice Cereal

Directions

1. Combine flour, whey crisps, butter, water and cheese in a large bowl; mix until dough forms. Stir in cereal until combined.

2. Shape dough into 36 1-inch balls (balls can be left round or flattened). Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.

3. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes or until light golden brown.

Whole Wheat Whey Protein Crackers

Ingredients

¾ cup Whole Wheat Flour
2 Tbsp Whey Crisps, ground, natural
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Lipton® Savory Herb with Garlic Recipe Soup & Dip Mix
2 Tbsp Butter, unsalted
¼ cup Water

Directions

1. Combine flour, whey crisps, baking powder, salt and soup mix in a medium bowl.

2. Cut the shortening into the flour mixture until the mixture resembles a coarse meal.

3. Slowly add water while mixing with a fork. Knead all ingredients to form a cohesive ball that is not sticky.

4. Roll dough on a floured surface or pastry cloth until very thin (~1mm).

5. Transfer dough to a baking sheet lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray (wipe off excess). Cut into 1” x 1” squares using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife. Prick with a fork if desired.

6. Bake at 400ºF (use convection if available) on the bottom rack for 7 minutes or until golden brown.

7. Cool crackers on a wire rack.
